    Default Deal too good to be true?

    So this guys is selling me a built

    B20/Vtec EG hatch-block is a b20z2 with a b16 head skunk2 internals and gsr tranny, thats pushing over 300whp says he beat his friends boosted k-series.. he says all the work was done at majestic motorsports in savannah and says he is looking for paperwork and an

    EJ-with a jdm b16a untuned with a gsr tranny running on wastegate boost on 5lb. has a 50trim turbo. he says he doesnt have it running on vtec because he doesnt wanna mess something up and he says it does 340whp... he says the shop that worked on it burned down a couple of months ago..

    both for 3500... you guys think its too good to be true and something might be wrong with either of them or something? the drive will be about 2hrs away so i want to know what ya think, he says he has a baby on the way and has to get rid of them. but every1 uses that excuse...

    somethings definitely wrong, unless hes desperately trying to get rid of it for legitimate reasons... but even then, its kinda sketchy.

    Sounds very too good to be true to me. Even if he is that tight on money that he needs them gone that fast, 3500 for either car alone would sell quickly...if they're in good condition or however he described them to you. And can't find paperwork/shop suddenly burned down seems a little to me.

    Yea I knw. When he told methe b20vtec made 300+ hp I thought in my head "talkin shit" lol cuz correct me if I'm wrong but the b20vtec motor vteckidd is selling on here is fully built and put together by experts and it doesn't even make over 300. If we do go see the cars ima take a compression tester to check em both.

    In all likelihood, he will probably have issues finding the paperwork should you come look at the car. If that is the case, I doubt it is actually built.

    imo i would have the parts taken to your mechanic or if you can take your mechanic to see the parts and possibly let him have his input on it if you can? etc etc just to be on the safe side.

    $3500 EACH would be a good deal if they were legit, so I think its safe to assume they are not all they're cracked up to be.

    I agreed they provided me same day pickup and cash for car. It is really a great and rapid process to sell junk cars within a day or two.

    If you put that much money into building a car, or two, you're gonna know exactly where your paperwork is. If any more work needs to be done, if something breaks, etc, you would know right where you left them.
