    Default BOV help....

    So the other day i was taking a trip to the store and got into like 3-4lbs of boost and the car didnt blow off like normally.. Then i got into a lil more boost and same thing so i just parked the car.. Could this be a boost leak somewhere? and i checked to be sure the vac lines are hooked up still.

    damn man..... time to take it apart and see if the plastic jank that holds the valve came loose.....

    it does happen.

    theres two parts of the bov

    the diaphram housing and the valve.....


    the valve is rubber with a plastic retainer that holds the rubber in place..... sometimes it breaks or gets stuck your 50% fucked.


    sometimes..... rare.... the diaphram breaks......your 100% fucked....

    you installed the check valve...... 0% fucked..... take it out.

    best way to tell if your fucked is if your getting boost..... if you are.... the plastic things broke or came loose....

    also if you are using check valves to bypass the factory map sensor your check valves may be fucking up keeping the bov from seeing vacuum.....

    Im all for ebay parts, but the ssqvs are garbage. I think I had to fix mine at least 3 or 4 times before I finally threw it in the trash.

    lol im super late on this thread but it was a mad boost leak and i was too lazy to look hard for it. but its fixed now. and ebay=the shit. thats pretty much how i build my cars...

    that is why I threw away the HKS-SSQ and got the synapse FTMFW
