I didn't read all that shit did it by any chance say a price
No price =(
I hope its cheaper then a WRX or it will fail.
It will be neutered by the time it hits U.S. shores
Try not. Do or Do not.
It said 3 million yen which converts to around $33,201 according to google.
A. If it share the STI drivetrain then expect this to be priced higher than the WRX STI because at $33k it will def hurt WRX STI sales.
B. It will have WRX drivertrain, 2.0 Turbo instead of the 2.5 Turbo and the bullet proof tranny. Then at $33k it sit rite between WRX and STI.
I vote for A coz B will simply suck and will leave us asking for more power. The ultimate will be FT-86 with full STI drivetrain swap, looks and power.
I like it.
It does have a very Genesis Coupe-ish bodylines..which isn't necessarily a bad thing..
Make this 2.0 or 2.5 turbo AWD making roughly 250-350hp @ < $30,000 and you've got yourself a guaranteed seller.

If you're gonna do it, overdo it.

I can't decide which is better looking, neither have the droopy bit on the back window like the Genesis, I think they look sort of like baby Ferrari 599s. The Subaru will be my new dream car, it's AWD, beautiful, and somewhat attainable.

I wonder what the weight is going to be on this.
I dig it.
other than the hood scoop i really like how this looks
That's what switching to a FMIC is all about, I personally love the hood scoop though. Look at me, I'm a damn fanboy all over this platform now, I had already warned people whenever I had first heard of the joint venture.
As for weight, I'm guessing, and that's a big guess, at about 2,900lbs, that's the same as a Scion tC and a Civic Si, which seems pretty reasonable. Also, the most recent WRX was 3,140lbs and they said that the Toyota would with 100kg lighter, which also puts it around my speculated weight. I hate that all of the crash protection weighs down our cars and makes them perform like mud.

I'm telling you.
Make that FT-86 be some kind of 2.0L or larger turbo 4 cyl @ ~240-260hp and sell for like $23k-$26kish and people will eat that sh*t it up! Including me!
this looks dope!
