There is a local S2k owner that has it on his car. Pricey but those kits are just awesome. Instant boost and loads of fun.

I'm tempted to play the "Rice" card regarding this statement.

supercharger imo. way less headache and way more reliable than a turbo on an s2k. yes less power but who cares.

we have obd2 legal drive by wire stand alone on our customer's s2k, gt30/76 at 12psi was i believe around 350hp and it almost doesn't even feel turbo'd because the power just kicks in so linearly. it's like virtually no lag at all.

turbo car is always more fun to drive than a supercharged car imo

anywho, he's doing a fully built motor now. come by the shop and take a look, we can talk to you about options for your car or just hang out

See, I'm kinda the opposite. I enjoy driving N/A cars much more. I had an RX-7 for a while and the boost lag just erks me in a bad way. I like having near-instant response which is why I'm leaning towards an SC. Never had one before so I'm kinda interested to see how they feel.

ic ic, it basically feels like a faster na car, at first you're like ooOOO then it plateaus and no more oooo up top, turbo is eh...then oOOOOOOOO all the way to shift, then OOOO more lol

i guess you could go for a ride in a cobalt ss,....

i dunno, to each his own i guess...the gains of the supercharger kits for s2k's vs the gains and minimal lag of a gt28 or gt30 on an s2k...as well as the how much money you end up spending when it's all said and done...turbo>sc

knowing what it costs for like the novi kit, then having ridden in, driven, and tuned sc s2000 at ~300hp....i wasn't impressed at all..driving the gt30 one was a blast tho...even at 12psi.

anywho, to each his own, best of luck

    Dave

man tubo>sc allday long not only will u get use to the power of a sc real quick but then u might have to do pulley's and other bs to raise boost later VS a turbo setup just turn the boost another 3-4 lbs and your back learning how to control that power again not to mention like "Dave said " The gains of a turbo over sc is a big gap if you ask me even if you spent the same amount of $

7k sc make u 340whp just a figure of price from what ever shop with tunning
7k turbo kit should set u between the 300-550 range same here
I check sluts off my list like a maintnence man
I drive a low is3 just so it gives me a reason to drive super slow on these rough ga roads.

    kraftwerks s/c for the win.

i think some ppl need to read up on how a rotrex s/c actually works. they spin and are capable of rpms that turbos achieve.

think the kraftwerks is a self oiled system...which speaks for itself in terms of hassle

    turbo is soo much better...

heres a tip for you... if you build your own setup look into the siemens deka injectors.... they are cheap and very good...

everyone keeps saying turbo is so much better.... but that is not always the case, depends on what u want in ur car.

if u want to be a HP whore and shoot for power, then yes, the snail is the way, but if u auto-x and track and u need the instant boost, then s/c is the way. just depends.

just do some research....and yes, there is a place that sells s2k ready injectors that u dont have to buy the clips for already. ill have to check my links and post...not a bad price either.
