    Default coolant disposal

So where should I take my used coolant after draining it from the car?
Straight down the sewer, or to a recycling center?

I ask because some internet articles say it's ok to just dump it, but some say there are "centers" that accept used coolant. Where can I find one in Gwinnett, or nearby?

    Mine's the red one.

The EPA would not like you much, lol, if you do the sewer thing. Just call around and see if you can find a center. Some auto parts stores will take it also. We keep ours and have a service that takes care of it.

autozone or advance takes used oil and used coolant. DON'T drop it down the sewer. if you really want to do that then just mix it in your cherrios tomorrow morning...mmmmm.

I know they take used oil but didn't know about used coolant. I'll call my local AAP and double check.

i work at advance and we do not take coolant. only oil type products (oil, trans fluid, ps fluid, etc.) and im 99% sure autozone is the same. i think jiffy lube is your best bet to safely dispose of anitfreeze.

although nobody at advance/autozone will realize you're dumping antifreeze unless you say something.
