Thread: Civic's? Anyone tired of them?

  1. #1

Default Civic's? Anyone tired of them?

After seeing so many Civic's everyone one of them is identical. All crappy Rota's, Drag, OEM Craptastic rims, or Sportmax rims, with the same boring exterior look. Especially on IA, most civic's have passed down to each other like a ragged out whore. Can't you guys switch to something else? I mean yeah they are cheap to modify but why keep doing the same shit over and over again? Aren't you guys tired of have no torque or no power? Every time I go to car pics, 5 threads of my new car is a Civic. I dont want to go into 240's because most every 240s I know in GA is either in the hands of some teen kids who thinks he's a badass in a RWD car.

i give props who do something drastic with their Civic's or older classic like for instance Rev's civic is okay but seeing the same egg looking or the coupe bodied over and over again it gets played out after a while.

Only 5% of Civic's from 88-91 (4th gen) were wagons. lol But I see where you're coming from. I get tired of the same shit as well.

I like my Civic. Everyone should like my Civic. Mine is the only one around that is unique. The truth has been spoken by the same guy that just typed this sentence. Later, QD.

normally people get tired of things they have or own. how are you sick of something you don't have? a lot of civics are making more power and torque than you, but does it really matter though?

That's not necessarily right, dude. I've never owned a 240 but I sure as hail tired of seeing that crap all over the place. I've never owned a Civic newer than 1983 and I can't stand the site of them. Few and far between are there nice looking ones, but that's a rarity these days. Later, QD.

I hate any car that doesn't have a vision behind it Civic or not.. Fixing up a car to "fit in" is dumb and you need to pick a new hobby. For instance, my car (while a 240) is being built the same way it would have been built in the 90's. Why? Because I think the early 90's were the last days of the automobile being truly a "driver's" car. At most you had ABS. No computers magically turning an average driver into Michael Schumacher with Active Yaw Control, Traction Control, Electronic Roll Mitigation, Dynamic Brake Control, Electronic Stability Control, Electronic brakeforce distribution etc etc etc... Foot, seat and ass was your stability control. Do I hate Civic's??? Most of them... Just as I hate most 240's or (dare I say) the mighty Poopra. They all look they same. But on the topic of Civics...

    I like:
    QD's Civic
    'Purps Civic
    Rev's Civic Wagon
RutRoe has a nice older wagon as well.

That's about all I can think of on here that I have seen.

Im tired of these kind of threads. "Im so sick of busted up Hondas slammed on rotas/stock rims, yada yada yada". In all honesty, I would rather see these kind of Hondas on the road over ones with outragesly huge body kits painted a neon green color to complement the orange LED underglow.

But with that said, yes, I know the style the OP is referring to is waaaaaaaaaay too played out. But if everyone hates it so much, why dont they get out there, buy a civic, and show everyone the way its supposed to be built, instead of just making threads on how they hate it so much? Start a movement, set the example.

Here is the result of my sickness boiled down to just one part. Do you how hard it is to find a 90's era aftermarket part still New-In-The-Box? Lemme tell ya. Hard. 15-ish year old turbo timer, never used. w00t!!!!

Only 15 years old? Lolol. It took me 3 years to find a part 30 years old BNIB. Hours of Googling and searching only to find it about 10 minutes away from my house. So I know exactly what it's like. Later, QD.

the OP is on to something - however, the issue is not unique to civics. It eventually happens to every highly popular chassis in the hands of car freaks. In ten, perhaps, fifteen years from now, the Civic will take it's place in old mens garages across the country where their fathers Mustangs used to be.

    it is a classic car.
