Exclamation Better than Ebay turbo kits?

This is the ONLY company that makes a turbo kit for my base Mini.

Yes, it's more expensive but the quality seems to be higher than that of an Ebay kit. I like that they use Garrett turbos.

Anyone have experience or heard anything about them? Been around for a while now lol.

Well, other than the turbos being extremely small, having a restrictive down pipe, no intercooler, no blow off valve, doesn't even appear to have an internal wastegate on the turbo... I'd say you'd be good to go with just straight bolting that bad boy on.....

which is the best bang for the buck?

if you get an actually complete kit off ebay, look into getting a diff. turbo or something.

Or get someone to fabricate a custom manifold for you. I mean if you want to do it, do it right. We just finished up a custom kit not too long ago for a Sti with a custom mount turbo and the results we are seeing over some of the bolt on kits that you can get are far superior. Is it more expensive? Yeah, but I have seen several cars that bought "kits" and ended up with a blown motor at worst or poor performance out of them. This is not to say that all kits out there are bad, just that a lot of times you get what you pay for.

The "Extreme" kit looks ok, the superior is...well seriously incomplete. But I have even seen high dollar kits where the "tune" they came with was seriously flawed and blowing motors. I would look into the various tuning options and find a shop that tunes minis before even contemplating a kit. See what they recommend, what tuning options there are for your car and how much everything is going to cost. Often times the "kit" is only half the expense.

I dealt with them when they 1st got stated... I installed prob. 20 kits.. I have had like 3 of there kits myself... I really like them, they weren't the kit to buy if you were trying to make a huge HP number.. They were the kit to have if you wanted a good kit on a daily driver.. The only problems I had with them was the water lines.. The lines were very low quality.. They would break or leak right out of the box.. I knew this so I would just make up my own and that fixed the problem.. The fuel management was different than most other kits... They used a billet block that mounted between the intake and throttle body, this block held 2 extra injectors. The kit included a stand alone injector driver and instructions to tune it... I never liked the fuel side of the kit BUT I have used it with good results. The piping was very thin and small but it did fit very well... The kits were very affordable when I dealt with them but it seems like the prices have went up some.. Now I have only used the Honda/Acura kits...
