    Default Swapped OBDII Cars Emissions

HOw do swapped OBDII cars pass emissions?

If they are swapped with OBDII motor is it easier?

What about if swapped with OBDI/0 motor?

    Can they even pass?

If you need to pass emissions with an OBD2 car an OBD2 swap is needed or at least a a swap that keeps all sensors functioning.

So throwing an LS3 into an S2k would still pass emissions cause both are OBDII?

Well........maybe. The emissions guy would have to overlook the fact that the engine is swapped. Most do, but technically its not legal. Its easier for instance with a swapped honda with a honda engine but seeing corvette shining under the S2K hood doesn't help. Also some years (varies by manufacturer I believe) have the VIN embedded in the ECU. So obviously your LS3 ECU wouldn't match the S2k's VIN. The EPA could come knocking though I've never heard of them doing this.

Dunno, Georgia used to be cool with swaps, didn't care what the motor was just, what came out of the tailpipe. My county doesn't require emissions so I haven't had to mess with it since I moved back.

Glad I could clear that up for you.
