i love 240's but i dont like the way ppl have missmatching colors and body kits on them, looks ricey to me....240's are nice especially when they have the silvia frontends..painted correctly, silvia parts, badges, etc.
the stretch on the vdub serves a purpose. to be able to slam the car on some wide ass rims without major scrubbing. it might be to the extreme but every bit of clearance count. if it had the regular sized tire, it wouldnt be that low
doesn't really serve a purpose, more along the lines of wanting to look some way but i would be scared to get on the highway on tires that are stretched that hardcore
what happens to those wheels if it hits a pothole or something?

VW are not my cup of tea but they arnt played out either. 240 is taken a little too far by people who just want to be part of the drift scene. Honda....just walk outside and you see at least a dozen! Everybody wants one cause they are easy to modify and possibilites are endless and the most common one is a civic which are too played out and I completely overlook them for the most!

As a VW driver, I don't get the whole stretched tire thing either. At the same time how many of those do you see driving around the Atlanta area. When you think about quantity of cars you see with over the top mods, VW shouldn't even be on the list.
it's the same as when the first of that movie series came out, within a month the population of modified civics multiplied like a horde of rabbits on a fuckfest after eating a lifetime supply of viagra.

im also a 240 owner mine being 17years old. luckly mine was a fully running KA in great condition for 1k wen i bouight it. but ive spent nearly 6k for my 2j swap and looking at a few grand in suspension! when i finish my build i'd prolly spend near 10k if not more! so definetly not letting it go for cheap! srry!!
i'm also a 240 owner. mine is about 14 years old. i recently added a cup holder that added 87 whp, but with my fat ass sitting in the car... i actually lose 217 whp.

Taking things to far, in my opinion, can both ways. Honda owners and VW owners have alittle bit of their own taste and also sorta copy other trends. The whole VW thing with rusting their cars, is fucking stupid. I never, in my life, would spend such a great deal of money on something to purposly rust something. Honda owners usually just copy other trends but, every once in a blue moon, they do something that 99% of people think is cool but in reality is completely dumb. Such as a car with 20+ stickers, etc.
