You just put yourself into a hole you'll never get out of. but do not fear my true tuning, dyslexic typing friend. You won't be lonely, for you have atleast two of IA's finest with you in said hole: BITCHING & 809King

I really like the "98-99" prelude, i think that the prelude is a nice car, but heavy at the same time.
I was wanting to know if the h22 would be a long lasting engine?
as in (inserts example here) performance, easy hp gain, torque?
    so my question is?
would it be a good project car to learn how to build, also if the h22 were to have problems would it be easy to find parts needed to be repaired at an reasonable price?

my word!, but to answer the questions that i rewrote for you are, yes its a good motor to build and easy to fix at a reasonable price, but, the motor is not good for a turbo setup unless you have internal work done to it, the h22 is a strong motor, and a lot cheaper then the k20, it takes a little work to be around 200-225hp, as long as you have the money for it, all im going to say now is, if you do not have an oh k cash flow, i would just build something else like an ls, or b16, just my 2 cents though

The engine is reliable if you dont over rev it constantly. But get a 5spd because the 97-01 auto tranny is notorious for breaking and being unreliable. Even under regular driving people have had it go out.
