Sure you could but the compressor would self destruct before too long.
Try not. Do or Do not.
What do you mean by a "stock" t25 (internal wastegate I assume)? And why don't you wanna run a BOV? A BOV takes the extra air that is built up and relieves pressure when the throttle plate closes......hints what eraser said. If you don't want the sound youtube them for a quiet one and run it recirculated, it'll be less annoying that way.
And if a BOV is out of your budget, you shouldn't be boosting anyways![]()

Save yourself the trouble... run a BOV.
I ran the passed week with a BOV that wouldnt open, and you'll hate yourself before too long.
First, you're paranoid because at any moment you expect a pipe to explode, or to see your turbo flipping down the road in your rear view.
I finally fixed it, and im so relieved. So please, run a bov. Ebay sells a greddy knock off for like, $40.
oh no its not out of my budget,Originally Posted by Slomaro Z28

I will give you a VW Diverter Valve,pm me.
This is what we run on a 1.8t,came off mine.
You will also need a factory airbox.
Also not running a BOV will not hurt anything,it will cause turbo lag.
The BOV does not open until you let off the gas,the vacuum open it and the air is then dumped out of the hot side of the system.
This then allows you to floor it again and not have to wait to get the turbo spinning like crazy again.
This is the best reason for a BOV it helps with response and alleviates any delay when you let off the gas to floor it again,
If you have ever been to a drag strip and watched a real tt car run in the 6's in the quarter you will know you will not hear the first swoosh sound from a bov.
But again your not trying to drag this all day long,so spend $50 on ebay they are fine and go play.
