The caps are chrome plated as well. Honestly polished S14 wheels look like crap, even if they are on an S13. Now S15 Spec R wheels on the other hand... Looked nice on my S13 for a week before I sold them to a friend.

its just something to do, im not gonna keep the wheels. Just want some polish practice and these seem like an easy canvas for that. They have large flat surfaces. Looks like a good set of wheels to test it out.

For practicing purposes, I say go for it.

I polished my Nismos and it the process sucked. End result, it was worth it. Just remember, a DA sander is your best friend. If you need/want any tips, hit me up.

im def not going to do it by hand, i think i got it up untill maybe the final polishing step. The little bit that i've done in the past i've always left swirls. Main thing is what to do with the plastic caps.

To prevent swirls, apply the polishing compound by rubbing it in with your finger, working it until it turns into a dark gray film. Then hit it with a cloth wheel and a dremel. Then re-apply another layer of the compound and hit it with a microfiber towel. The dremel will get out the swirls and leave a few small streaks, but the towel should clear those up.

I don't know how high of a sandpaper grit you plan on going, but I used a DA and wetsanded up to 1000, then hit it by hand again with 1000 wet, then 1500, and stopped at 2000, then the compound and dremel.

I think they came out alright. They look a little dull in that pic, but that was after a day of driving and I still have to spray the metal sealant on it.
