    Default Compressor Surge problem

I changed out my BOV because my old one started leaking at the valve.

I went from a Turbonetics Raptor BOV, to an Ebay BOV. I know its cheap but im only running 12psi at most.

After install i took it down the road and had Surge (shutter). So i brought it back and loosened the adjustment screw. Same story, repeated 4 times. Now the screw is as loose as it will go.

The only other problem with the car is that my Flex section has a fair size hole in it. that will be replaced within 2 weeks.

    Do i tighten the bov?

is there a replaceable bov spring inside?
You want to run the bov spring accordling the your vaccum range of your car..
Like on mine, I need to run a 7 or 9 psi bov spring inside.. It came with a 11 psi spring.. If I used the 11 psi spring, it would surge at part throttle...

What ebay one did you get? If it is one of the Greddy lookalikes then they normally come with 2 springs inside. You can take it apart and only run one of them.

It does look alot like a greddy, except red on top instead of Purple. (I figured if Im going to get something cheap, at least make it match my catch can/strut bar)

    Charlie is the man!

Took it apart, and just as you said, 2 springs interlaced. I took the small one out, put it back together, and tried it. It was still too much. Switched to the small one....BINGO!

now, it doesn't sound as clean as the turbonetics, but its doing the job. now i just need a flex section and i'm back to running smooth.
