i see what the OP is getting at but there's always room to be unique without looking ricey. most ppl have civic hatches or coupes or 2-door integras. i rarely see folks modding 4-door tegs, certain accord models, CLs/TLs/Legends, etc.
i went to varsity in july and I had the ONLY 4-door teg (99 DB8). I wasn't there the whole time and didn't walk the entire lot, so more might have come, but even if they did I'd be pleasantly surprised if they were boosted. i saw a bunch of boosted dc's though. boosted db8s are a rare sight...that's what made me decide to go that route with my car.
not saying they aren't out there or my car is the shit or anything...but even in the played-out honda world there's still room to be different from the norm.
