Go for the Viper >.> you can get it well over 1000hp, and even more torque, the 8.4L is no joke, and its not like you see ACR's everyday.

If I had to vote other, it would be the new challenger, you just cant go wrong with Hemi, and it looks better than the Camaro!

Be the first to pull huge numbers from the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. Already comes with Twin Turbo V6 and puts out decent numbers.

Make it RWD with a manual transmission to compete with the CTS-V?

I voted skyline only because of the awd platform. Something with selectable diffs to go from the good ole 2wd to awd in the click of a button.

Tracy, that 2nd picture of the teal green mustang with the drag radials is coming up as being a suspicious site, google chrome is reporting it to have malicious software embedded...

Newly engineered AWD and only comes in an automatic though. Willing to bet much power over the factory output is going give the transmission some trouble...

I agree... new Taurus would be hot also... great foundation already.... you could be the first to get your hands on it and show the world its potential...

I'm sure many other shops are thinking this also so hopefully you get to get on the ball first if that what you guys end up deciding on

What is the purpose of the car? Is this car supposed to just attract attention by being a "look at the awesome custom fab we can do" or is this supposed to be a development mule to make your own in-house kits for a certain type of car? Obviously, it'd be great to have all things, but I think you'd be more successful if you focused your efforts on one concrete objective.

I say other. I say build a small or mid size truck, Like my 05 Dodge dakota. Drop a hemi in it and twin turbo that ish. strong truck with 1000+. not to mention that its not a bad base model to do something different. A little off the beaten path but none the less. These trucks even with the small v8 are a lot of fun to drive. Just an idea. Nothing that you would normally see.

    CTSV

you will take your shop to the next level if you build one of those and enter the car into the Car and Driver battle of modded cars. you will get a sleek design, a badass interior where you could do 4 leather racing seats and not feel out of place, and a zr1 motor

My vote is "OTHER". I say shit like this...

    ** 3.0 12valve w/a BP s366 turbo
** Motec M800(tuned by Tony Palo@T1 Race Developement)
    ** stock tranny w/long 5th(.755)and Quiafe diff.
    ** 679hp&610tq@35psi

I'll visit each of the cars in the poll to say why:

SKYLINE: Boooo. Just booo. Okay - so you build this car, you still won't identify w/ 99.9999999999% of your customer demopgraphic. Kool idea - but FAIL (IMO). Skyline is so over.

VETTE: So you coax 1000whp out of a Vette? Kool for IA - sure. But that's a small feat in the Vette world. That's just like saying you have a 700hp Supra. - FAIL. And again, your customer base will fail (on most counts) to identify w/ this chassis being the "new" BG flagship "do all" racer.

CTSV: fits the same category here... making it turn REALLY well would be kool to do - but at the end of the day it's a stock (or forged) block w/ minimal headwork to get 1k out of it w/ the right charger. The only thing that this car (and the Vette) requires is $$ - no thought, no "real" engineering which is what Batlground ENGINEERING should be doing - no?? CTSV falls in w/ the Vette IMO - it's a Zo6 Sedan. If you DO a V8, it needs to be something old skool. OLD SKOOL is the only way to go in the v8 community for shop cars sir.

    :

FORD GT500 - I have no comment here really. I just don't like the GT5. I have a notch... and a Stang is Ford's Civic. It's a "google your ET" chassis - it's all been done. Would it be "kool" sure... but nothing spectacular or leading edge IMO.

VIPER - gay. Again. Hop on a Viper forum and post your 1k whp dyno - that thread will be like REEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPOOSSTT. It's an amazing feat... but not in the Viper community. And again, w/ this you miss a great deal of your customer demographic.

The Pontiac G8 has my attention here... for some reason, this can work "depending on the direction you go w/ it". I'd like to see that one. If it's gonna be supercharged though I'll pass. The snail (or 2) would be the thing that makes this idea work for me.

LEXUS: Ummm... no. I think that I speak for most of us old-skool guys when I mention the Lexus idea. We'd much rather the Supra come out of retirement than any of the Lexus's mentioned here. (justmy opinion). If it's gonna have a 2J in it and the car COMES FROM FACTORY w/ a 2J, then do the supra. 2J Lex is nothing special.

    HERE IS MY THOUGHTS...

--> BAD ASS e30 sedan - 800hp arena - maybe a 2j in that. Then you got my attention.

    --> VW R32 w/ some sick power

--> If you wanna do an American Car, a Buick GN - or fuck that, get an 87 Regal base model and build a Grand National / T-Type / Vette Killer.

ORRRRRRRRRRR if you got a hard on for LS1s, this has been overdone and redone as well - but will work for performance and identifying w/ your customer base. Cheap to own, cheap to build - easy to make fast.

And I'll post this just b/c I like 'em and I can - LOL

I agree with most of this minus Modding the Z06 Corvette, if they could somewhere close to the "record" power for a C6Z Corvette then their business would increase. Modding a C6Z is totally different from modding a C6 or a Zr1. Many TT Z06 still blow up today even with the "best shop" modding them. Hell some Corvette guys just like the N/A power. If Batlground could make the same power as the "best shop" then their business would increase. Corvette guys do not go to just local shops when modding their vehicles. Good post non the less.

^^ I see where you are going and I agree. IMO a Vette would have to SOOOO sick-nasty in order to be REALLY prevalent and shake and move in ways that hasn't been done already that I'd (as a shop owner) pass on it as my flagship "do-anything" race car. But make no mistake about it... I'd LOVE to see a SERIOUS "do-everything and do it well" Vette. To make it work price-point-wise I'd build a C5 --- but yeah, it COULD work depending how gangsta BG wants to get w/ it. But there are better selections IMO to keep the parking lot full and keep the internet buzz than the Vette.

Yes it would be hard to pull off a TT C6Z. Shops are still blowing them up, I read threads about it on CF.com.

^^ 2010 Sho on shoforum went 12.75 at 108 yesterday. Boost was turned up 4 --> 5 lbs higher than stock. No other mods. Not bad.

I'd continue, but I'm not allowed to 'bash' sponsors of the site.

God you are bitter. I thought that only happened to women. Is this over SS or is this over the reps you begged me for that I finally gave you? Because seriously, I don't even know where the eff you came from and what your problem is, but you deem it necessary to stalk us whenever given the chance. Your obsession is getting kind of weird.
