i agree, to a point. I think you should "do what you do" and make it your own. But I think its the fact that everyone tries comparing their cars to each other and egotistical people have started trying to out do each other. So in the process, they've become more and more alike so that they can be compared.

for example, it'd be hard to take a very nicely modded, lowered coupe and compare it to a giant jacked up 4x4 covered in mud. or to a dub on 24". know what i mean?

I think show cars are cool, as long as they claim to be show cars, and not high preformance cars. and vice versa.

SO, what about full blown show cars that also take it to the track and hand out ass whoopings?? Doesn't that defeat your whole statement? I know plenty of show/drag/circuit cars and have seen them as well. Do you feel it's wrong if you got beat by a full kitted civic on 18's with a fully built type r swap boosted, with 30 psi?? What would be said if after that, he showed up at TFS and took first place for best of show or something??

I Don't think it defeats my statement. Although i do believe you've brought up a good thought. I agree, there are some very nice show cars that will tear me up at the track.
I do not feel its wrong for a civic to have a full body kit on 18's with a fully built type r swap boosted, with 30 psi.

What would be said: Thats a very well rounded car.

i dont mean to come off as "that guy", and if i do, i apologize. Just keeping the discussion from being 1 sided.

you know for a fact that even though it may be a well-rounded car. i bet you that people would still call it rice just because of the way that it looked. now a days it seems that people are more about the impracticality of a car then the actual true functionality.

that brings me to the slammed/crazy offsets that are around. wtf is the point? i dont understand it. why drive a car that is basically impractical. i car was ment to drive, not have to all of a sudden slow down at every bump in the road. i just dont get it and the making sure the offset is percisely what it should be on a lowered car so it will stick out from under the fenders, eh. to me a car is meant to drive, not go slow and look good. why not just keep your height at a reasonable level with STILL a little bit of fender gap and still look sharp?

my car may look like almost every integra out there. and i know that. but i dont care, its how I wanted it to look as time went on. I used to LOVE the look of the bomex kit and always wanted to get one of those but it was the cost of it at the time and being in highschool that wouldnt let me do it.
