Seriously, why the hell would you drive the car around bucking and running like crap with a TPS code for months?

Did the shop install the turbo kit and not fix the TPS issues? That's crazy.

... You FAIL at reading. I said the car had a code when it was all motor, but ran FINE. Not until the turbo kit was on did the car start acting sporadic. And to be clear, it was a friend of mines shop, and he intalled everything perfectly, I just didn't have another TPS. He said that it should have blown up for that reason. I asked Scotty, and he said the same thing.

So they installed the turbo kit and didn't fix the code? Did you get it tuned or what engine management was this on?

X2 what engine management do you have?

I have to say the tune may have contributed to the hole in the block. TPS is important, but it is only part of the pic. An overly lean condition will cause bucking, hesitation and other issues as well as engine damage. Def get that TPS fixed for sure before riding out with it again.

The only time I drove the car boosted, was back from the shop 2 my house. I was running a chipped P28 from Scotty, and I called him first after it blew and assured me that it had 2 be the TPS... I was going to get the car dyno tuned at Mainstream, but I couldn't even make it home.

an ECU is a BASEMAP, its not a license to go beating the shit out of the car.

You went in boost, with a broken TPS, you blew your engine. Lesson learned hopefully

Do you know what a TPS does or how it works? Read up on it and you will see why your motor blew up

I NEVER said I beat on the car! I drove it from the shop to my house. Yes, I know what a TPS does, and I knew that it was faulty, but I was assured that my car shouldn't blow up because of it. I'm not trying to cheap out and make it on a basemap. I know I have to get the car tuned, and I will. I'm just trying to make sure I have pin-pointed the issue before I go through this again.

...no one has answered my question about the Blox TPS.

    Thanks for all the help.

He came here hoping someone on IA might have a little more knowledge than himself and would help him fix his issue. This is the exact reason why IA is going Downhill when you have A bitch ass fucking faggott running shops and shit

go figure, the engineers at honda design a CEL for a faulty sensor and it actually means something. NO WAY!

So if your oil pressure light comes on, and it runs fine, are you going to keep going? then when your motor locks up are you going to make a thread about "HEY MY OIL PRESSURE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY MOTOR LOCKED UP, BUT IT RAN FINE BEFORE, COULD THAT BE THE PROBLEM>?"

Usually if a CEL comes on, there is a problem that needs to be fixed

Thanks for all your help, but your sarcasm is really becoming counterproductive at this point. I understand im a ricer for trying to get my car home with a CEL... shame on me. I NEVER put any blame on Scotty or my friends shop. All I wanted to know was if there could possibly be any more contruibuting factors. I'm no master mechanic, or some Honda genius, I have a thorough but general understanding about my car, and I just wanted some positive input.

I'm definantly a boost noob, but I've done an asss of research, so cut me a phuckin break. "Fix your TPS before you boost it again"... I got it. I'm not trying to be a douchebag, so chill out. I just want to get my car running and tuned before school starts.

    WORD

you seem to have the worst luck, but you bring it on yourself.

Fix the TPS issue, and if the car WASNT TUNED, and you had a TPS issue, thats why it blew the fuck up
