100 ft/lbs is not that extreme at all. That is what I have my ARP's torqued to in my 4G engine. Many 4G63 guys torque their STOCK head studs to 100+ ft/lbs, even up to 120 ft/lbs when they put on a MLS head gasket, and they have been fine. 100 ft/lbs for your ARP head studs is fine and I wouldn't worry to much about lowering the torque of them.

Seems the torque spec is around 70 with ARP moly lube. So with plain motor oil that spec will be way higher. With my 7mgte head studs the moly spec is 80ft/lbs, with motor oil it is 130ft/lbs.
