Smoked number three piston yestarday
I replaced a o ring on my injector and forgot to plug back up the vacuum on the fuel pressure regulator opps.
I did find something interesting my pitstons were hitting my head.
and hitting my valves
A new piston a few modifications and ill put it back together tomorrow.

I did not know the block was milled when i bought it but i am a idiot for not plugging back up the vacum line its no big deal though going to put it back together now.

I believe leaving the vac unplugged will only raise your fuel pressure, i doubt it did that to your pistons.

+3 Running rich shouldn't break a ring land like that. Looks like the skirt took one hel* of a beating too. You should definitely clay the motor when you put it back together
I was wondering about that maybe it wasnt the fuel pressure regulator.All the bearings looked perfect.The cylinders looked fine and its got about three thousand miles on it now it was fine on the dyno made two twenty five to the wheels maybe its just the stress of hitting the head this was the first time ive drove it since i took it to the track well everything is fixed and back together now we will see it stays together .

The pistons are coated so they its realy just the coating gone they are not near as bad as they look in the picture besides the ring gland being broke . Any ideas?

Typically broken ring lands are from detonation or a lean condition, i seriously doubt your FPR being unhooked did anything to cause this. How do your ignition maps look? Is the engine boosted?
Why is always the #3 piston? On my CRX I threw 3 different rods... D-series, ZC and B16. It was always the #3. Lately I spun a rod bearing in my SR20DET nissan... Which bearing you ask??

Its all motor and yea everytime something happens its number three cylinder lol. Its tunned on chrones i have a aem wideban in the car but was not looking at it at the time but it always looks good. Im thinking bad gas and maybe a little to much timing this thing is very high compression i will be running race gas when i take it to the track just to be safe man its pulling strong tonight though runs good.

Looks like you need to de-shroud the valve reliefs a little bit, and use a thicker head gasket and clay the motor. Hopefully your cylinder walls are still usable.
I already took care of all that i put it back together last night .The car run fine but i could not drive worth of crap today 13.5 missing fourth and spinning pretty bad oh well the motor runs great and i had a good time today at the import show down.
