^^shop should take some sort of responsibility if the car is parked inside the gate or fence.......but anything outside the shop under owner responsibilities then its all on the owner of the vehicle.....but this incident is very fuked up.....i curse the Thieves that did this....they should go to hell......u can never succeed in life if u take other people shit

I know shops say they aren't liable for mishaps like this, but considering it was their mistake for leaving the car outside, you'd think they would at least offer to cut you a deal on whatever work you were having done...
What are they going to do to make it right?

ill let this remain open, but EVERYONE tread lightly. Watch an choose your words wisely.
I will say one thing, OBJECTIVELY.
i am willing to bet if you call around, 99.9% of ALL SHOPS/DEALERSHIPS operate this way. We would all go out of business if we covered everything that happens to a customers car. Now, we have never had a problem with breakins because of our security measures an because Powder Springs Police is right next door an they patrol this area regularly at night. If someone broke into our building an stole his car, then i would file a police report, an he would have to go through the proper channels to get his car back through HIS insurance. I would NOT come out of pocket $30,000 an buy a new car. sorry , i dont have that kinda scratch. Now, everytime you claim an incident on your insurance, your premiums go up, an it gets EXPENSIVE. so you must choose wisely when you "eat it" an when you should "claim".
Now, if his car was left in our parking lot an his wheels were stolen, then, i would probalby cover half his deductable out of good "faith". if he is spending money on his car, its worth it to me to spend $250-500 deductible to make sure he is happy an ill make it back when he comes in to get more work done. That instance i would prob bite the bullet, but it would ultimetly be up to our owner.
but we do have a strict "we do not cover" your car policy. We will be responsible for any scratches, dings, dents to his body, but i cant cover theft of property. its a shitty situation, everyone pretty much gets screwed the shop an the customer.
Best thing i can say is this issue is over with. Batlground will not pay for his wheels, thats already been said. Batlground has their own policy which he signed. ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT, ITS THERE FOR A REASON. Negligence on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. you guys are the CONSUMERS, protect yourself an know what is happening with your car. BAtlground has a policy that they have had for YEARS, an you must sign it. Dan signed it, an unfortunetly, it was a bad situation for everyone.
If you have a problem, take it up with Batlground personally, or, call them on thee phone. THIS WILL NOT TURN INTO ANOTHER SHOP BASHING THREAD. IM SICK AN TIRED OF SEEING BOTH SIDES ACT LIKE CHILDREN. IF I SEE ANY REFERENCE TO TOPSPE-ED vs BATLGROUND i will delete this thread like the other.
