Honda put the stock cams where they need to be from the factory. I assume he will be running a stock ecu with stock tune and stock cams, so the stock cam settings would be optimum. Wouldn't you think?
I could only see this being an advantage if he is going turbo, but this was posted in the all motor forum.

No not at all, simply adjust the timing accordingly afterward. If I remember correctly I retarded the intake cam 4° and advanced the exhaust cam 4°. I'm still not positive if I have the first or 2nd generation ITR intake cam though, considering I bought the B18c5 new in 2004 it should have the '00-01 243 duration that's the same as the CTR.Originally Posted by RedEj8
