Just wondering if that compression piston for LS boost would be too low. Power range will be around 400 mark
Uhm.... It's hard to say without all the variables present, and what you are going to be doing with the car. But I would not waste my time with that low of compression. I'd be seeking closer to 9.6:1 to 9.8:1.
i ran 8.5:1 and loved it mainly because you can run alot more boost and boost was better to me at that time than motor.
anything between 9.0 and 10.0. anything in the 8 range will not feel as good off boost. if this is strictly a race car then it won't matter. you won't make as much hp/lb of boost, but you'll have a little better margin of safety when it comes to compression and detonation.
more info than just wanting to make xxx amount of power would be helpful.

I'm at 8.8:1 you just need to turn it up a few more pounds to compensate. Your tuning "window" is much larger at that compression level though. Just make sure your wastegate spring is large enough to handle the increase in boost.
I make 345 WHP on 14 PSI in my LS.....10.1 compression (forged pistons from my JRSC build) and not a sign of detonation......

my boy ran that compression in his ls....ran a 12.2(chipd ecu) with skinnies and slicks on 6 pounds...full interior and all that in a eg hatch..the only thing was it sucked driving around until he put his turbo kit on

X2 on the sucking off boost
I currently have roughly 8.8:1 compression in my Integra and I love it. I hget great gas mileage and my acceleration is just fine. My personal experience is that what you feel is relative to what you are accustomed to. I was driving my '93 Accord before, so my car feels great, however if you're used to driving an h22 it may feel sluggish. If you already have the pistons, go for it, if not continue to research and go with what the person tuning your car suggests.
