i would think that any trans out of that year eclipse would work as they all had the same bolt patern on the bell housing but be verry carefull about going DSM crank walk FTW!!!

There is a small difference. On the the 2G's the transmission have (I think) 3 mounts on them. The 1G transmissions only have one mount on them. The bellhousing bolt patterns are the same, but the plate that the starter goes on is also slightly different.

Any 5spd out of a 95-99 GSX will bolt right in. Any other years, 90-94 will have different mounts and different front axles.

ps: CW is not as common as most people think BTW.
pss: also look for a 5spd trans out of a 95-97 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD

95-95 tranny will bolt in. But there is a difference. Best bet is to call Shep himself and have it explained to you.

Now saying that, If you do get a 95-96 tranny. Make sure you get the transfer case that will go with the 95-96 tranny. Same as the 97-99. My last car was a 1996 awd spyder. I had to check and make sure everything matched.

Here are the codes that will help you also.
