I was debating with some guys at work about the tradeoffs of having a decent HP car and still being able to get decent fuel economy out of boost so we came up with a game.

Divide youre who by your mpg to see what motor has the best compromise between daily driving fuel efficiency and when-you-need-it-horsepower.

Lets just do this in a standard format:
Motor and displacement
WHP
MPG
WHP/mpg = (whp*gal)/mile
displacement/mpg = (liter*gal)/mile. This one should be converted to keep units but since this if for comparison its a minor detail.

Obviously since some of you are uberJDMskreetracers you may want to keep your whp numbers secret, just list your mpg and your final ratio

And dont cheat, just use your average mileage for average driving, I get ~20mpg every day but have gotten 28mpg on the highway, so I'm using 20.

I'll start:
03 STi motor, 2.0L
272whp
~20mpg
13.6 hpgal/mile
10.0 Lgal/mile

Lets see how this compares to some of the high HP hondas, V8s, and rotaries. Lower numbers show a better compromise for a daily driving HP machine.
