The only major issue is the random powerloss. People are having episodes with the car suddenly losing ~ 50% power for a few seconds or longer. Engineers have stressed the use of 93 octane and feel that the knock sensor is too sensitive. The powerloss is a temporary limp mode. They say it can be caused from heat saturation from short, stop and go trips, being too cold or poor fuel quality. I can't find anything else on common issues other than what mazda has put forth in recalls and tsb's. Your welcome..... bitch.
