Alot of pictures sorry. But I'm hoping to be in the mid 300's to the wheel. Heads are mildly ported as was the intake, bigger injectors and throttle body. I'll add more as I go.

Good thread. Are those the sam pistons that were in there except u cleaned them up? I just see a little carbon still on the clean ones so i figured id ask. Should make alot more torque with the long tube headers. Hotness!!
Yeah those are the same pistons.

looks good. glad to see theres still a couple of v8 boys on the site.
^ Thanks. I got some stuff done today, but dont have any pics ATM. I got the new cam in today and the distributor back on. Took the heads to the machine shop to have them tested and they need to be milled, so that is being done now.

Are you having any head work done? I don't know what kind of funds you have, but you should look into getting a good valve job and maybe even pocket porting them.Originally Posted by Slomaro Z28
Yeah, gonna have the valves done too.....haven't decided between 3 or 5 angle job though, other than that I've kinda ran my budget past what it was suppose to be. The plan at first was sending them off to Advance Induction to have them CNC ported, but my casting are a little thinner than most LT1 heads and flow a little better, then I was gonna send them to L.Elliott to have them ported......all this fell through and my kids b-days rolled around (a week apart) so funds went down hill there. They are gasket matched and have a "little" bit of porting to them (friends basement).Originally Posted by Init2winit

I would think about investing in a valve job at least, since the heads are already off. As far as CnC porting, don't waste your money on that with those heads. If you know of someone that can actually do a 5 angle valve job, do that. I can also recommend someone that is very reasonable on prices with that stuff.Originally Posted by Slomaro Z28
I'm not sure if he can do it or not.(Tommy Goza, my dad grew up using him and he knows the family somewhat)Originally Posted by Init2winit

Small block plus heads, long tubes and a bump stick is always fun!
I hope it is, its taking forever to tear it apart, buy everything, and now I'm putting it back together and now I can't wait.Originally Posted by dorin48

Hell Yeah man! nice to see v8's are still alive
doin a burnout
What's the specs on that stuff man? I did a H/C setup after I rebuilt my LS1 a few months ago. Put down a respectable amount over 400whp. On my old LT1 car with just full bolt ons I was putting down 320+. You should be able to put up 350+ pretty easy with even a hotcam and good head job
Cars gone, got all but the heads bolted on and got screwed out of it. I want a manual transmission again.
But the CU mixed up my payments with another account, and wouldn't correct it......so I told them to come get the car and had to get a lawyer and a lot of crap......Probably gonna get back into an import.

Well holy shit then, that sucks if you wanted the car. But you got the engine, get an old rx7 lol
Yeah I had the engine, parted it all out on z28.com. I did love the car, just want something a little cheaper to keep up and a fun DD.
2007 Civic FA1 and 2005 Yukon XL Denali
^^^better get another camaro then. imports cost too much to get 350whp, or maybe buy a civic and build a high compression single cam for a fun little DD![]()
I miss my DC too. I might look in to a boosted LS or Boosted LS/Vtec, in a hatch or another Integra.
