i got a built motor .40 over ,11.1 cp , eagel rods and a block guard, any 1 think it would hold 10psi. high boost. lmk it was built for nos , but i wana boost it. lmk

dont be pussy, just run 30 psi
:disclaimer, anything it possible, not sure if i would do it tho.
you could, but it would probably detonate.
DON'T
DO
IT!!!!
yea but you better use race gas cause premium aint gonna hold and its gonna make a premature BOOM
TOO BIG
ok u pretty much just answered ur own question......."it was built to run spray but now i want to boost it" ummmmmmm if u run 10psi ur prob going to have an early 4th of july, id just run it with the bottle with a nice size shot

No sig ATM
say bye bye to those stock sleeves
there is plenty of people who have done this, 10 psi will be perfectly fine, you MUST run 93 octane 100% of the time and get it properly tuned. It should be fun!

id do it. i wouldnt recommend doing hwy pulls. but no less than 93 octane should ever go in ur tank as it sits right now.
dnt be scared!
don't let any of these 8.2:1 scrappies scare you!

It depends some on what size turbo you are going with. Detonation is not always from just psi. Also, are you sure the compression is 11.5. Did you build the motor or buy it. If it has 11.5 pistons but the block has been decked and the head milled then the comp will be even higher. Let us know more about the setup before you make a decision.

holy shit that would be awsome with the rite tune
it is 11.1 comp, and is board .40 over so what do yall think , i know pep who have had 12.1 and was arond 30 psi , but im always up for opinons.
12:1 & boosting @ 30psi!Originally Posted by dirk-diggler

Its all in the tune. Plain and simple. not alot of room at that compression ratio for mistakes so make sure the tuner is good. We have s2ks running on the stock high compression and at 12-14 psi with no problem. These are being tuned with AEM's though, by people who know how to tune the car.
What motor is it on?
it'll be fine with good engine management, proper fuel, and tune....
It's all in the tune.. And btw the block guard isn't going to do shit..
get Ed @ Balanced Performance to tune your shit..
He tunes safety 1st and then power...![]()
11:1....are you planning on Methenol injection? and are you planning on running just 93 from the pump

f*ck off
Block gaurd does plenty, it allows you to limp the car home after it cracks a sleeve rather than blow out a chunk of it. Better than being stranded and in need of a tow.
block guard is a bad idea especially for that compression IMO. it creates a higher temperature at the top of the cylinder, which will cause you to reach your knock threashold faster. but this is just logic and i have not tested this so dont hold me to it.
and you can run 11:1 with boost without a problem, but like said before, its all in the tune.
