I dont think this will last long with that compression, unless you get a serious tune and it will cost you.safer to just take pistons out and get low compression ones.

there is plenty of people who have done this, 10 psi will be perfectly fine, you MUST run 93 octane 100% of the time and get it properly tuned. It should be fun!

It depends some on what size turbo you are going with. Detonation is not always from just psi. Also, are you sure the compression is 11.5. Did you build the motor or buy it. If it has 11.5 pistons but the block has been decked and the head milled then the comp will be even higher. Let us know more about the setup before you make a decision.

Its all in the tune. Plain and simple. not alot of room at that compression ratio for mistakes so make sure the tuner is good. We have s2ks running on the stock high compression and at 12-14 psi with no problem. These are being tuned with AEM's though, by people who know how to tune the car.

    What motor is it on?

Block gaurd does plenty, it allows you to limp the car home after it cracks a sleeve rather than blow out a chunk of it. Better than being stranded and in need of a tow.

block guard is a bad idea especially for that compression IMO. it creates a higher temperature at the top of the cylinder, which will cause you to reach your knock threashold faster. but this is just logic and i have not tested this so dont hold me to it.

and you can run 11:1 with boost without a problem, but like said before, its all in the tune.
