btw, the reason why i ask is that they said $25 per tire and i think this is too high. I heard 12 pack of beer goes a long way with these guys lol. Any comment appreciated.

Wait, you called them and asked how much they charge and they said $25. Now you're asking us how much they charge? I'm guessing $25.

    Maybe I'm missing something here.

$25 per wheel for mount, another $15 per wheel balancing.

Juggernaut, yes i know it is $25 per tire to mount but that's not what Im exactly asking here if you read two above post i posted.

It's pretty obvious that I created the thread knowing it was $25 per tire but needed some more information on its pricing.

Wannab20hatch got it because he kindly suggested maybe balancing was included.
Lex got it because he does not think it is reasonable.

I just wanted opinion and info on it.

that is a little high. but its hard to find a place that will either A. do low profile tires/aftermarket rims or B. wheels/tires you didnt get from them. and if you do find a place they will be a little high. just do like me and give the keys to a friend who works at a shop. discount on tires and free labor

There is a little tire/rim shop in Tucker, GA off of Lawrenceville Highway. $50 for all four tires mounted and balanced. I forgot the name but I know exactly where it is.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

As for GTE they provide a service that most others wont without certain stipulations. Its a simple matter of supply and demand. I happen to manage a shop that can mount and balance up to 22" wheels and tires regular and reverse mount. We do however charge $25 per wheel for that service. If you still think thats too high than by all means shop around, but I think you will find thats a pretty reasonable charge. Remember you get what you pay for...

Thats exactly why alot of shops wont touch it. If they f**k it up they wont replace it and if theyve never done it before they will usually f**k it up.

^^^ Very true. As a shop you assume full liability on the wheels and tires when you agree to do the job. Dont get me wrong though, accidents do happen (human and machinery) its a chance you take.

I've gotten 2 sets of rims and tires mounted and balanced at GTE in the past 2 months. Both times they charged me $100. Both times were with Advan wheels and low pro tires. The wheels were not damaged in any way and I thought the price was pretty reasonable.

GTE is the best shop around. Use them or Wheel Wizard if you dont want your rims to get fucked up.

My family will only go to them for alignments.

They charged me $100 for a 4wd alignment; took about an hour and a half. I was surprised they got my low car on there cause tiresplus said my car was too low . But yea, the place might not look up to date but it's what they got inside the garage that counts!!

What size tires? And what condition are the wheels in? Depending on those aspects, I can help you out with mounting and balance for about $60-70. I forgot the exact pricing. PM me if interested. Shop located in Gwinnett.

    Mahdavi Motorsports in Lilburn.

Way cheaper than all of those mentioned, and can mount up to 20's w/o a problem. We mount and balance for other shops, if that tells you anything.

    My

P.S. 4 wheel alignments are $65 every day and we do lowered cars ALL of the time.

You have yet to mention the size of the wheels/tires...
