    Default Cressida and Engine swaps

I am about to be in the market sometime in the future for a little project car to play with. I was looking around for another MK3 Supra and started to think about building the 7mgte motor and what I could swap into the supra (1jz, 1.5jz, or 2jz). I then started thinking that I want a 4 door car. So the Cressida is pretty much what I decided to try to find. Turns out my grandmother has a friend with one and is looking to sell. So I was wondering if anyone knows someone with a 1jz or a 2jz in a cressida? I watched several video's on youtube of cressida's with 2jz's and built 7m's and it really has my attention. For being a car with a 3400lb curb weight, you can really build the car to be pretty quick. I was thinking of just a simple stock 2jz on stock boost with the auto tranny would be pretty much ideal for me. I've noticed the price of 2jz engines have gone down a lot since I had my supra too. I figure most of the mounts would have to be fabricated and what not.
Just wondering if anyone else has had one or would like to build one.

Go on Supraforums.com there are quite a bunch of people who done the swap before. Also Madavi Motorsports a sponsor of the site have a bad ass Cress. that won pinks. I also remember another member on here just got one and was toying with the idea as well. I still think there's no real suspension for these cars, most have cut springs i believe?

Hell yeah man, thanks for the info. I just saw the episode of Pinks. I really want to drive one now. Anyone know if Madavi's cressida was a 2jz?

I find them with an auto tranny for around 2k. The actual swap may cost around that too. I think

Madavi's cressida was a 2jz if I'm not mistaken. Also, Batman on here, has a cressida that's pretty damn clean. He just lowered it also.

I have a 89 Cressida that is getting a 1jz/Auto. The 2jz/Auto is a little more work for me. I know were a cressida is forsale, and I think they want 500.00..RIP Garage in Dorville makes mounts for the Cressida with a 1jz/2jz
