The Perfect Shift (Clutchless Shifting)
So whats the deal with people doing this. I just saw this video and I'm really interested about it. I don't plan on doing this ever to any car I have I'm just curious about it. Does it benefit you in any way or is it just something different. I don't really understand why anyone would do this when you have a perfectly operational clutch. Does anyone on here do this or able to do it. Someone take me to school.

LOL, it's easy, I do it around town because I get lazy using my left foot haha. Not sure if there are benefits or damages from it.
Truck drivers do it all the time. I use to do this in my 11 second Z28...

I do it all the time, in my honda, and my daily.
Basically all your really doing is matching RPM's for the next gear your shifting too.
Its easy up shifting, try it going down lol.
If your trying it, NEVER force the shifter. Just give a little pressure, if you don't get it before it hits idle or over rev's (for down shifting) then just hit the clutch.

True but around town with a heavy clutch sucks. Especially when all you do is pull and it shits into gears like butter lol. You aren't grinding, or pulling hard or anything, it goes right in.i'm actually OK with using my left foot nah mean?

It is quite a convenient thing to use when driving a car with a really stiff clutch
Who can't do this?No shit it's old news, it came out when cars came out.
Hell I can even do it on a bike.
If you can drive worth a damn, you wont wear out your syncros for a good 300k miles.
If you shift at the speed/engine RPM point - the gears are moving at the same speed and obviously you dont need the clutch. Its not rocket science! Its just a lot easier to do with a diesel truck since the rpm band is much smaller.
Has anyone one here have a clue what a crashbox is?
Go back to a world without synchros and you'll see.
