"The Ford Taurus SHO, which stands for Super High Output, holds a special spot on our pages. Ford actually flew Taurus shells to Japan to have the Yamaha 3.0L V6 installed and then flown back."
WAY off.
There isn't even any logic behind that!
Yea that makes no sense at all - just pure bullshit.Originally Posted by One_Bad_SHO

I loved the SHO's that I had. I tried my ass off to get my last one supercharged. I had one of the rarer ones 1995 manual one of 2024 made before they yanked the manual option and went to gen3 which were pretty much automatic"ly" going to have tranny problems. I wish I had that car back.Originally Posted by One_Bad_SHO

Glad to see someone on this board is still rocking one out.
I never heard this about the SHO, and couldn't find anything in a quick look. I have heard and confirmed in a quick search about the Cadillac Allanté doing this, they shipped 56 at a time in special Boeing 747's from Italy to the US.Originally Posted by One_Bad_SHO

That story just reminded me how inefficient most domestics are. 5.3 liter v8's that put out 303 horsepower! Maybe it's just me, but that engine doesn't sound amazing at all. Besides the fact that the impala is FF, it suits the car just fine.
HP per LITER is a ricer argument... It proves nothing.Originally Posted by Demsum

a 3,500lb car has a 300HP Turbo 2.0L motor and gets 22mpg highway(EVO X)...
and a 2,800lb car has a 240HP NA 2.2L motor and gets 25mpg highway(S2000)...
Which one sounds "amazing" to you? It's ok... You can say it.![]()
None of the above...Originally Posted by mp5o

So the "amazing" motor is the one that makes 200hp w/ a 2.0 Turbo motor while the s2000 makes 240 w/ an NA 2.2/2.0?Originally Posted by Demsum
What happened to the HP per Liter/efficiency argument?![]()
Let's also keep modded cars out of this argument.. If you want to bring that into the equation, my 520WHP car gets 26mpg highway... Along with quite a few other F/I GTO's/Vettes.
