I'm glad to hear you guys are recovering.
I hurt my rotator cuff once - I know what you mean by discomfort. It screwed me over for a good year before it healed. Even now, I'm not sure if its 100%.
My friend (physical therapist) was telling me that weak rotator cuff muscles can lead to injury. Check out the exercises below, they helped me out a lot by stabilizing the socket and it also kept it from "popping" a lot like it used to.
ASK HER TO CONSULT HER DOCTOR before starting any exercises - this may end up hurting her - I'm no doctor!
