Default Looking for a new(er) car

Ok, so I’m slowly losing interest in performance oriented after market modifications, loud exhausts and uncomfortable driving conditions....call it boredom...getting older....or the Gem of a driving record I’ve managed to accumulate. I'm looking for something Nicer, more comfortable, and preferably something with 4 "useable" seats. I definitely want to stray away from anything not naturally aspirated if at all possible. I do however have a budget cap in mind. $4000.Also Keeping in mind I want something reliable, comfortable, seats 4+, Manual would be a plus, something larger than 4 cylinders (I enjoy tq), Somewhat Sporty (but not a racecar), and decent on the wallet in replacement parts

So far I’ve been looking in the mid to full sized luxury class:

    Lexus LS400, GS300, SC300/400 etc (in the 90-95 range)
    BMW 525i (e34)
Volvo 850 wagon.....either T5, or GLT (lpt 2.4) even though i'm not really looking for a turbo again

Other than that, idk yet. I'm really looking for some Ideas???

Yeah it's hard to beat the Volvo T5's and T5/R's when it comes to bang for the buck. If you do get one get a T5/R or R, the interior alone is worth the price difference. Not to mention the bumpers, spoiler and rim's and extra 20 horespower. I love mine.

Some other cars I looked when I got the Volvo were CSVT's and the aforementioned Lexus SC's.

they are real hard to find in my price range though, and they are really the only FWD car i will consider

    Honestly

E34 525i...Pref 1994-1995. They are clean and very comfortable cars that get relatively good gas mileage and have every potential of a true BMW sports sedan. They are by no means slow..190hp, 3400lbs and extremely modable if you ever decide you wanted something extra in the future. I'm not even going to tell you how bullet proof they are...
Not satisfied with the power? A simple T.R.M chip and $300 M3 cams will bump you close or at 200whp. That's more than you could ask for in a nice, smooth i-6 daily driver.

Yeah honestly the 5 series is definitely in my top 3, I'm not really worried so much about power....as long as it keeps doing its job and makes enough tq to not make me have to wind it up in the morning traffic, ill be fine
