Question I really hate asking this...

But I am very picky when it comes to wheels.
I found the perfect style, exactly what I want.

Only thing is... its an ebay wheel.

The ebay wheel is $300 and the real thing is like $700.
Thats just the bare set, not including tires and such.

So do you think it will be ok the by just the rims and then buy the tires and such locally?

I know you have to consider equality and such, anyone have any experience?

    I assume you meant quality.

From experience, replica rims are fine for the street. Most people rock replicas 'cause they're affordable and look pretty much the same as the real thing. Others go for the real deal rims... for bling factor and of course 'cause they're forged and only way 5-6 lbs. per wheel. It's for that extra edge on people during highway pulls and stuff.

No, but really... 70% of IA, marginally, has ebay rims.

get the reps. who cares about brands and such as long as it still looks good?

and for street driving and even some track/autox use, lighter wheels wont make any noticeable difference. hell, our rain tires are mostly mounted on the stock miata 15x7" NB wheels, and some are on even dumber wheels. like this one set of pure rice wheels that weigh like 150000000000lbs per wheel. theres no difference unless youre really trying to do like F1 or some other crazy racing class.

    replica wheels FTW.

please op disregard everything he just said. YOU can tell a difference in wheel weight, i used to have 46.5 lbs rims and tires and now my guess is that they are just at 30 lbs per rim and tire and there is a HUGE difference in handling and braking

but as far as rep vs real. that is your call, but you can notice a difference in wheel weights.
