Viper AND Corvette. Pretty much everything else CAN die, though I'd like to see the G8 make it, just because it's a damn good car. The Journey is really pretty miserable compared to the Chrysler (Or Volkswagen) version, so I'd rather see one of them stay. Essentially this would be a big chance for a unified GM/Chrysler to go back to making rear-wheel sedans that people care about, and I voted for the Silverado rather than the Ram ONLY because it's a little more technologically advanced than the Ram, I really would prefer both of them to die to the fires, they're WAY too large to be of any use any more. There's no sensible reason why light duty pickup trucks of 2009 are BIGGER than HEAVY DUTY DIESEL 350/3500's of 1999. Ridiculous!

All I know is if the Jeep gets beat out by the Hummer I'm going to have a heart attack. The Patriot can go, all of us Jeep guys hate that hunk of shit anyway. Definitely G8, and I would prefer the Viper if I had to choose but there's no way in hell the Viper would stay over the Vette. The market for the Vette is just way too big in comparison for it to go.

I voted for the PT Loser, just to be an asshole. I really don't see it going anywhere though. When its Sunday after church and you need to get all 6 of your friends to handicapped parking at Cracker Barrel in a vehicle with the contemporary style of your youth, theres really no other option.

I was sad axing the Viper. That new ACR is such a hot car.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

I get the point of the poll but I think most all of the should live because they are all selling despite the fact that they are very similar. If I were GM or Chrysler i'd take advantage of the platforms given and make them even more different, unique and competitive so they appeal to an even wider market (if I owned both).

Keeps: G8, HHR, Patriot, Traverse, Tahoe, Silverado, Colorado, H3, Challenger, Viper & Vette

I think GM should kill the GMC brand all together.

GMC are rarer and better quality. For every 4 Chevy Silverado, there is 1 Sierra built.

I agree, we used to have a Yukon. But it seems like they would lose money making separate front and rear fascias and interiors for basically the same vehicles.

    Autoblog

Earlier this week we published a Battle Royale between General Motors and Chrysler in order to determine in a fun way which vehicles from each automaker that compete directly in the marketplace would survive if the two merged. Out of 12 matchups, GM vehicles won eight and Chrysler four. A new report by consulting firm Grant Thornton LLP largely confirms that our experiment was spot on. The report says that if a GM/Chrysler merger happens, only the Dodge Ram, Chrysler and Dodge minivans and a few Jeep models will survive. We had the Ram and Wrangler as survivors on our list, though perhaps we were too generous giving the dated Dodge Dakota and slow-selling Jeep Patriot stays of execution. Either way, the point is that Chrysler's model lineup across all three brands would largely be wiped out if a merger with GM happens, as well as the plants that build those models and the workers who do the building.

I'd rather they keep the Challenger than one of those retarded sized trucks.

I would rather see Jeeps running around instead of Hummers, and I do like the new Challengers, but GM totally makes better cars.
