I get blinded my car's that come stock with HID's so it's not a big deal at all, and you won't get stopped by the cops unless you get a funky color like bright blue or pink. Stick with 4000-8000k to be safe, but I think 10000k looks best. Also the lower the k# is, the more lumens the light puts out.

I have them in my car and HID's are prob one of my fav mods, it's cheap and makes your car look a lot better.
Oh really? Then why do many OEM's offer HIDs in non-projector housing? Like Merc...

Stick to 5K or 6K to realize the benefits of HID. At 8K and above and definitely in the 10K plus range you will start to fatigue your eyes on long drivers and the light output is extremely diminished.
