Default Just bought used JDM motor

    2 things concern me

    1) the intake to the turbo inlet is sooty, and grimey, not BAD, but one would assume it would be clean with a filter

    2) the inside of the throttle body, after the butterfly valve has black slimey substance on it... now i know bad turbos put out traces of oil through the FMIC and piping etc, but is that just normal wear and tear from a boosted motor?

    its a sr20det from a silvia s13 btw.

yeah 14 day startup warranty for the BLOCK all accessories are as-is

i just want to know if the turbo is showing signs of death, before i swap the motor in, t25s are like a hundred bucks, not a problem, but i dont want to waste 2-3 hours and cut knuckles when i can do it in 10 minutes
