    I believe that we are getting the new Fiesta, so hopefully we won't have to deal with another subpar product.


    This thing looks a lot better than than the 09 Fit (GE8 btw) and the Yaris...def a sharp looking hatch.

    we definitely ARE getting the fiesta. They will be released oct of next year as 2010 model years. We will not however be recieving the ECOnetic powertrain. 90hp/165ft lbs 1.6TDci and 65 mpg

    Do we have confirmation that the appearance will be the same? I know that JDM>USDM import of subcompacts is usually followed by an unwelcome lengthening of bumpers and such.

    Well that's due to the difference in safety regulations. I don't think the looks of the Focus are going to suffer much. Then again, I'm not very familiar with the difference between European and American safety standards.

    yes, they recieved 1.0 liter mitsubishi powerplants as opposed to the 700cc CDi Mercedes Benz power plants recieved in europe. they also severely reduced the MPG from the high 60's to low 40's hwy. The estimate MPG of the US released SMART is 33/41

    sweet lil ride!!! be awesome if they ever made it n the diesel form here!!

    drove a brand new diesel grand cherokee today...awd and it got 26mpg at 80mph for a lil over 150 miles....i was very impressed

    there might be small differences, but to stay competitive they would have to be very careful not to ruin the styling
