    Default TiAL BOV compression surge

my tial bov doesnt open all the way to release the pressure, maybe a quarter of the way but when it does its takes forever for the slide in the bov to close. Is my bov going bad or can i take it apart and lube up the inside of the bov? REPs for help.

How much pressure are you running on the BOV? Maybe you should reduce the spring inside? If you dont' know the pressure, you can either get the serial number off the BOV and email Tial or take it apart and check out the color of the spring.

i have the same issue, i just haven't cared to fix it, since it was brand new, i think it releases enough air not to matter really. Lowering the spring rate costs about 40$ for another spring. My new cams draw less vacuum now so im considering getting the weaker spring now.

I had the same issue as well. I CORRECTLY matched the spring rate for how much vacuum my engine produced at idle. Tial has a chart that you can go by. Put the new spring in and it works like a champ. I would try that.
