    Default Aptera

Has anyone heard of the Aptera?

The Aptera is a vehicle being released in 2009 only in California at first that will get 330mpg. When the battery gets worn down from driving too long without recharging your miliage will reduce to 150mpg or 130. It'll cost $27,000.

It's a series hybrid between electric and gas. The motor only has a 12hp diesel engine and a 25hp DC electric engine.

It looks like something straight out a scifi movie.

    Anyways, thought it was interesting.

WOW... $27k isn't bad IMHO for a car that'll get up to 330 MPG. It looks pretty dang cool too. i wouldn't buy one though. what's the top speed?

Top speed is an astounding 95mph. Apparently that is a safety aspect.
