tow hooks are one of those things you hope you dont ever have to use, but damnit they would come in handy when you need a tow so they dont fuk up your bumper

quick question though, now i can make a serious tow hook from materials i have laying around, the lightest materials are not the cheapest and usually not the strongest, has anyone actually used one of these "billet" tow hooks. a friends car is in my driveway right now and has one on the rear...i got to looking at it and it looks like every other one i have seen around town...but i do not think it would hold up if it had to be used. ESPECIALLY if the tow vehicle could not get a straight line pull and had to be pulled slightly from the side. am i wrong?

Why change your car from stock at all? Most people on here hating can barely drive their own car, why talk about function over form? All these people with super expensive suspensions, turbos, big brakes, etc. on their first time out at the track would get laughed at by anyone who knows their ****.
IA Rules doesn't allow these images in sigs

Aftermarket/race tow hooks have been around and required on the track long before JDM was even an acronym. Show up to a real car scene for once like Petit Le Mans where all participants and most spectators choose function over style or fan boy bull****.

On the street the race tow hook has one function...severed shins and putting holes in peoples bumpers that can't park in front or behind you. At least it saves your paint!
