I personally use eagle... but either one will be fine for you... just go with the cheaper choice.... and I believe they both use the same type of steel and the same rod bolts.... and both are reputable just make sure to check your bearing clearances when you put the engine together and you should'nt go wrongOriginally Posted by bRiAnMcIvIcS

Both are identical. They both come from the same place, overseas. The only difference is the company "Eagle, Scat, etc.." finish the products. That goes for the crankshafts as well. The rods are between both manufacturers are about identical, but there is a big difference in the way the crankshafts are finished. Scat finishes a better crankshaft than Eagle.
Eagle buys their cores from overseas. There is no "American Pride" there.Originally Posted by slovic-fcc

LET ME GUESS... YOU MISSED A GEAR!
eagle eh? check to make sure they are balanced...
i've heard of some horror stories....
Since it's a turbo app, I would go w/ the Eagles. Scat rods are considerably lighter --- perfect and more desireable for a N/A setup where you want the lightest moving parts, while the Eagles are a bit heavier duty and theoretically stronger. And BTW - Eagle and Scat do NOT share the same foundry.
