Thread: Consumer Reports Top 25 Most Stolen Rides.

Default Consumer Reports Top 25 Most Stolen Rides.

I was walking out to the parking deck at my condo today,
only to find 2 black guys walking around my GSR,
I confronted them, and They complimented the "color" of my car,
Then got back in their car and left.

Came inside and looked this up, only to find out all 3 of my cars are in the top 10.

    Consumer Reports said it,
    Must be true.

    http://blogs.consumerreports.org/car...tops_most.html

....and I'm parking in my friends garage for the next few days, cause that was kind of shady.

you know, the bad part is if they had been in the act... I doubt anyone would have even said anything. I remember once I locked my keys in my car and was trying to jimmy the door with people walking by, and nobody even questioned what I was doing.

Unless it was in the same situation as in the movie National Security...

anyways, I think more of a factor of why they are the most stolen cars is not because the fact it is a honda... There are more of them on the road, so the ratio is obviously going to be higher, and more than likely it is where they are parked and if they are even locked. A lot of people probably figure, "hey, it's just a Honda. No one is going to want to steal it so there is no point in locking the door." and when they walk out of where ever they came from they no longer have a car... Just my .02

Look at that list and notice what they all have in common.

    Volume.

The reason why those cars and trucks top the list is because every third vehicle on the road is one of those on the list. The Chevy and Ford trucks are common fleet vehicles. The Sentra, Camry, Civic, and Accord are bought and sold in HUGE numbers.

The fact that there are so many of these cars explains why they're at the top of the list.
