    Default Z32 or Z28

Which would you go with? Im stuck trying to figure out which I would want more, both can be found easily under 6k. Z28 alot worse on gas than the Z32, but has about 80 more horsepower stock, and a ton more torque, Yet in my opinion the Z32 has it on looks and styling, so hit up the poll, pick one and say why, Im going to throw WS6 in there for those of you who dont like the camaros. (4th Gen camaros btw)

The only thing with them is the opti ( distributor), is right under the water pump and if one goes it time to change both of them.......get an electric water pump and that fixes the problem.

    WS6 and SS > Z28 and Formula

anything 98+ is gonna be LS1 which is just a better and more powerful motor.

As far as performance goes, z28>z32, especially when mods are added into the mix.... The camaro is easier to work on and mods are going to be cheaper. Plus its na so it will be easier to maintain. You can make both handle well, and its up to you to decide which one looks better to you.

I would get ws6 like jitb posted and put some concave volks on there. Black with a yellow lip.

I got a 1991 Z32 TT, as for mods coming into play. I dont know the Z32TT responds damn good to mods. Stage 3 with intake, exhaust, and ecu can get 350rwhp and like 370rwtq and good for high 12' - low 13's.

The answer is simple, Z32 chassis with a WS6 long block and transmission...or just go for an LS2/LS6

lol... nothing responds better to mods than a small block chevy. You can get parts for dirt cheap, and the engine is so simple that even a person with only minimal automotive skills can build it with the right tools. I know, because I built one when I was 15.

the reason the camaro is better than the ws6 is because of no pop up head lights.

    EDIT: the ss that is

Put that on a Z28 and see what your times are....hell just bolt on a S/C to stock motor at low boost

WS6 over the Camaro, but either one over the Z32.

Mostly because...well...the Z32 just...doesn't stand out at anything. It's big, it's heavy, it's impossible to work on, and it doesn't make nearly as much power as easily as all the other cars that are comparable to it. Yes, it can go fast with big boost, but that's big money and the reliability goes out the window.

I'd throw a mod motor Mustang into the mix. Comparable to the Chevys but you can get your hands in the engine bay. I loved my 96 GT.

Having worked on my LT1 and my friend's VG30, both engine bays are cramped. At the end of the day, though, I prefer the LT1 because of 1) Sound. 2) Bang for buck. 3) Availability of parts.

I could probably go into Pull-A-Part and rebuild the top half of my engine in under an hour.

Yes, the optispark can be a pain, and so can our coolant sensors. It's also a little trickier doing true duals on a Camaro/Trans Am as opposed to a Mustang, but it is worth it.

All said and done, though, I'd try to find an LS1 <$8,000. I got my LT1 with ~93,000 miles for $3000 and it was mint.

If you go with a Camaro/Trans Am, and it's an automatic....change out the torque converter in it first, and you'll love the car much more. Either way, I love both cars, TTops > *.

Edit: Oh, and far as times go, my 97 Z28 with street tires, 3200 TQ, 3.73 gears, Intake and Long tubes went 13.1 spinning most of the way. That was around $700 in mods, and I'm not the best driver, either.

lol and what would stage 4 be? Intake, exaust, ecu, and neons??? I guess upgrading the turbos would be like stage 36.

hmm.. according to Z1 motorsports (the Z32 experts) and other Z32 performance parts manufacturers, intake, exhaust, and ecu = stage 1.

and slomaro is right, in the real world, those are bolt-ons.
