it all depends on how many pounds u wana run
i was hoping at least 8-10 psi dd on 4-5.an about how much horse power should i make?
why's it running a b16 block?

With that setup I believe you are running a little lower compression. That will ease on tuning a little. But other than that I dont think it would be any different than boosting a b16 block.
so what kind of numbers could i be lookin at with an greddy turbo kit an 880 injectors on 8-10 psiOriginally Posted by grady156
Lots of miss information going on. GSR head on a b16= MORE compression not less. This being the all motor forum I would have figured you people would know that the GSR head has smaller combustion chamber yeilding more compression. On that note this should be in the FI forum. It doesnt matter how many psi of boost you run, it depends on the size of the turbo. With a greddy kit you certainly do not need 880cc injectors, more like 450's.
for some odd reason they put an gsr head on a b16 why i dont know.but some ppl sayin its the same as a gsr is that true?an itss an t25 turboOriginally Posted by josh green
Wouldn't you be running like a b16 and not a gsr. You would have a slightly higher compression, but you would be losing alot more power/torque due to runnin a smaller stroke with a b16 block and crank. Correct me if I'm wrong here.Originally Posted by choabie

gsr head + b16 block? why go that route for? might as well run a full b16 motor..Originally Posted by DC2NR

High compression turbo cars will spool quicker, be more responsive and make more power with less boost. Of course you cant run big boost on pump gas but with a proper tune, "BY BATLGROUND OF COURSE", it should be fine. Just keep the boost at a safe level and don't get greedy with the quest for power.
you are right, you will loose power and torque if you run the b16 bottom end. But he will be raising the compression by running the b18 head. So you gain a little of the power back there.Originally Posted by DC2NR
i got the same setup. its almost 11:1 compression. too high for boost. 5 psi would b all id run IF i boosted it bc stock piston ring gap at that compression with boost is not a good combo.
ill tune the sh!t out of an vafc. batlground callout!! j/k. lol!
