    Default I need ECU help...

    If anyone could help me out i would appreciate it. So i have a 91 ls DA and im going to go vtec pretty soon. I have a pw0 ecu at the house and just for the hell of it, i plugged up the ecu yesterday and took the car for a run. Since the swaps comin out anyways, i decided to have some last minute fun! So i reved the car in first gear and i expected to hit 8000 rpms, but instead the car cutoff at normal rev limit, 6500. My question is that do i need vtec to hit these rpms, or is my ecu simply f***ed?? lmk ppl. Thanx!!!

    what....?? Is 8k redline on that ECU? What engine is going in? What engine is in it?

    yeah those ecu's redline like at 82k...a b17a1 is going in it and a b18a1 is currently in it.
