Exclamation B18c w/ LS header or GSR?? HELP !

i have a B18c in my '94 Ls i already talked to a customer service rep from Skunk2 about which header to use. he said the gsr header and when i get the high flow cat welded on alittle custome work may need to be done as well. i was under the impression i would have to use a Ls header to fit up everything. so let the debate begin guys and if your pulling stuff out of your *ss dont post please. thanks guys

Its either the bolt pattern is different, or the gsr header is shorter than the LS and you would have to extend it a little. I think it is just the length issue

not necessarily true. It all depends on what catback he has on the car. The GSR header is shorter, but a GSR catback itself is longer to make up for it. If the catback on the car is a type R or LS/GS catback, use a type R header. If the catback is for a GSR, use the GSR header. Also, the stock catback on a 94-99 GSR is different than the 00-01. The 00-01 catback is the same length as the type R. Since the car is a LS with a B18C1 swap, just use a type R header or a LS header.

Just make sure you don't waste money on a DC or skunk2 header. They fvcking blow. At the minimum get a jdm 2.5" collector jdm type R header. For the best bang for your buck, Email Mr. Kidd and ask him about one of his hytech replica headers. Seriously, don't waste your money on a DC or skunk2 header. You may pick up 2-3 whp with one of those. Mr. Kidd's headers are under $300 shipped and have been proven to make like 10whp more than the DC 4-1 jdm style header.

here's a link to Mr. Kidd's headers. He can tell you exactly what you need. He is pretty much an expert on B series setups, and held (or may still hold) the N/A B series whp record for GA.

vteckidd's header is made for all b-series, meaning its only one type but will work with all. Only thing you will need is a test pipe to make it work with your catback, which he carrys also for $80 and its fully adjustable which saves you the pain of install. pm him
