    Question turbo blanket

does a turbo blanket result in anything besides a little bit lower underhood temps?

    reading a discription it says:
"improving turbo response and retaining boost pressure"

good investment for $120? and in my case save the rubber part of my AC line.since the hot side is right on the AC line..(yes its heatwrapped already)

i believe it also keeps the heat in the turbo and exhaust which makes it flow better.think of hot molasses vs cold molasses

i doubt it, heat doesnt cause cracks, stress causes the cracks along with heat. besides i highly doubt your exhaust will get hot enough melt your turbo.

It will help the under hood temps greatly. It will be a unnoticeable performance increase but the lower temps will keep the intercooler piping cooler and that will help. I've got one to go on my CRX and my last turbo car the manifold, turbo(hot side), downpipe, and all intercooler pipes were wrapped and it was like the car wasn't even running after a hard highway run. You could put your hand on the manifold and it was harm. .

Well worth it for just the lower temps.
