Why do CRX owners call their cars Rexs?

Never heard a RX-7 be called a rex

i 've heard it plenty. Though i dot use it myself.

When i hear "rex" i think Subaru.....only because WRX ppl have whored that name out with a passion.

Its because its way easier to say than double you are ex and it makes a lot more sense than any of the other applicable cars.
