When you have no friction area to make direct contact with the flywheel and pressure plate, how do you transfer engine power to the transmission? Magic? If anything, if you have a bad master cylinder or bad slave cylinder, you don't need to engage the clutch. You rev match the rpms and ease in. It will eventually go. That was yet another dumb answer. Please edit that post.

    K series 626. That's right. It's got a K in it.

with a good driver and clutch the rsx can run high 14's.
    in this case the rx8.
    good luck dude.

    Default my opinion

You've gotta really know your car to be a great driver @ it no matter what. I don't know about the RX-8 but I know that alot of people are having a hard time running the 1/4 times on a RSX-S. Majority are running low-mid 15's and even high 14's with a good bit of mods when the Type S is supposed to run 14.8 bone stock in a 1/4. I've seen a vid on youtube of a Type S pulling a s2k in top end so I don't know if the RX-8 can hang in long run. But both the typeS & s2k were modded so in the end it all comes down to the driver. I'mma big fan of the vtec motors also; i'd rather get a rsx-s or the legendary acura integra type r if i had a choice of a fwd car in the future. Since you gotta bad clutch; your chances are slim buddy. But every cars performance also depends on how well you've maintained it..changing the oil correctly and getting tune ups.

    Just my 2cents

I got videos of a mx-3 (with a stock klde 2.5 mx6 motor) pulling on a s2k from mid range to top end whats your point?

Hmmm, both are slow, ive never seen an rsx-s run better than a 15.6 @ around 90mph, and the fastest ive seen an rx8 run is a 15.0 @ around 93mph so i say rx8 from a digg.

Well, if that can pull s2k's..it can probably pull or hang with an evo or sti eh? stock 2.5 mx6 motor? mann, never heard of such quickness.. don't see much of those around....If they were that quick..why isn't it in the trend?

It's also hard to run a s2k right also..I've never seen any run below mid 14's. Some say they can run high 13's but i'd be impressed to see one bone stock do so.
